It’s easy to see that not having a lot of money can be a survival issue, especially when there are things you need for your family to get by.
However, not having a lot of money can also be liberating (ss in the song “Me and Bobby McGee”, “freedom’s just another word for ‘nothing left to lose’”)
On the other side of the coin, wealth can give you a lot of freedom in some cases. For example, you can pay people to do things for you, giving you more time.
At the same time, wealth can also be a trap. Becoming a slave to money can give you tunnel vision by becoming the only thing you pay attention to.
The best way to approach wealth is to want it and acquire it so you may serve in your life purpose independently, and to help those around you. To desire and acquire wealth for the sake of money is just hoarding.
Using “becoming independent” as your reason to acquire wealth is much more approachable than “becoming fabulously wealthy”.
