While you cannot control what others do or say within a particular relationship, you are always in control of how you behave. That includes being angry and raising your voice, staying calm and trying to communicate, or even walking away from the relationship.
If you’re in a relationship that’s not working, consider your options. The options are not restricted to "fighting about it".
If you become the change you want to see in your relationship with another person and it’s still not working, you can try a little harder. And if it’s still not working, then move on. You’re much better prepared for the next relationship that you decide to build.
