What was it like the day before you were conceived? Do you remember?
Think back to your earliest childhood memories. Then think back a bit further. Remember back to just before you were born. Were you fearful of your birth? Probably not. But only through being born could you ever experience the world as you do now.
If we knew what was in store for us in this world, we might choose to be afraid of being born. However, if we knew what was in store for us, we might also be ecstatic about the prospect of being born. Along with the joys you experience in life—there are of course times that you suffer. But the whole thing comes as a package.
Your physical state before being conceived is really the same as the state you’ll be in after you die.
