Who are you going to be a second from now? Who are you going to be a minute from now? What kind of a person are you going to be next week, next month, and next year? How will you get there?
There is absolutely no way for you to become the person you’re going to be without you doing what you’re doing right now. Think about what you just did a minute ago. There’s no way you could be who you are now without having done that—whether it’s reading a sentence, or drinking some water, or even just taking a breath.
Do you have to sit down and get a whole plan in place before you start becoming the person you want to become? No, not really. Think about the process in very short intervals. Everything you did a second ago is very immediate to who you are right now, and everything you do right now is very immediate to who you’re going to be a minute from now.
Since you HAVE to do SOMETHING right now, why not do something that helps you become the person you really want to be? That could be to meditate, to start making a plan, to go for a walk, or take a breath. It all adds up to you becoming who you want to be. You cannot avoid doing something right now. So, you might as well do the thing that helps you become who you want to be.
