You might think your body as a singular thing. Our popular language supports this by naming body parts individually (for example, my hand and my heart).
However, examining your body very closely reveals that it's is really a process. In addition, thinking your body is a thing seems to come easily because it changes slowly over time. But the fact is, your body is always changing. Even now, your body is slightly different now than it was even a minute ago. You’ve deposited a few dead skin cells on whatever surface you’re touching, and the carbon dioxide that was once trapped within the cells of your body has just been set free during the last breath you let go.
Your body is a souvenir-- an outer reflection of your core. Your body is a souvenir to remind yourself (and others around) to give you the opportunity of communion and to do things you would not be able to do otherwise.
