What if dealing with your own insecurities became more important than dealing with someone else’s insecurities?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Matthew 7:5

You’ve figured something out when you can get a handle on yourself before working to fix anyone else. Whenever you find objectionable qualities in someone else, ask yourself how those qualities may be reflected in your own life.

Before you lash out, delve into your own self-pity party, or start bragging, remember these things:

• Lashing out is a form of insecurity
• Self-pity is a form of insecurity
• Self-inflation is a form of insecurity.

Lashing out, indulging in self-pity, and indulging in self inflation are all transient states, too. The only thing that’s truly secure is simply being.
