Because we have only five senses developed (so far), we can only perceive the universe using some combination of these senses. That’s our perspective. In addition, we as humans live primarily though language. Although not obvious at first glance, language structures the way we see, feel, hear, smell and taste the world- because it’s through language that we define meanings for what we pick up through our senses. It’s through language that we create the basic units from which we assemble our overall experiences. In addition, language frames our presuppositions about what we sense, thereby blinding us to (in some cases) and making visible (in other cases) what’s REALLY going on.
It’s true that there are as many perspectives as there are people to hold them. How many of them can you hold?
