Karma

We often rely on a colloquial definition of karma that implies the universe is performing revenge on our behalf.

A more accurate way to think of karma is like surface tension on water. Everything is connected... and manipulating one aspect of the universe necessarily affects other parts (for example, splashing creates waves). There is no vindictiveness involved!
